About the job
mPower Technology is looking for a a full-time Procurement, Buyer/Planner and Logistics professional, located in-office in the San Diego, CA area. This position will oversee, plan, and implement activities related to the procurement, assembly, and inventory control of space-qualified production materials, ensuring availability of all materials and long lead items in the Space Solar PV supply chain to meet expanding customer demand.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will work with the cross functional organization and external vendors to secure advantageous terms, identify gaps in goods and services, finalize purchase details of orders, track deliveries and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. You will be expected to collaborate with key persons and external CM’s to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Additional responsibilities will include supporting operations with shipping logistics and the implementation of MES/ERP solutions as we scale.
- Forecasting all materials
- Working with existing suppliers and discovering the best ways to cut material and procurement expenses
- Advancing purchasing processes and purchase order management
Experience
- Experience working with Aerospace procurement/suppliers and familiarity with spacecraft environments is plus.
- BA in Business Administration or related field with 5+ years’ experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
The annual salary range for this position is between $95,000 and $110,000
